The Multicultural Eid Festival & Fair is an annual event which has been celebrating the end of Ramadan for over thirty years! The festival attracts over 10,000 people from a range of multicultural communities across Western Sydney.

Market Stalls

With over 150 stalls there’s a huge range of products on offer including variety of cultural clothing, jewellery, perfumes, interesting books, toys, free show bags.

No one will go hungry with a plethora of delicious food stalls serving up turkish, indian, lebanese, japanese, pakistani as well as gozleme, kebabs, sugar cane juice, butter chicken, tandoori chicken, waffles, coconut drinks, fresh sugar cane juice, fro-yo and best of all, festival food including burgers, hot dogs, pluto pups, snow cones, slushies and fairy floss.

Entertainment

Live entertainment from the various multicultural communities with performances in traditional folk dances, cultural songs, plays/dramas, acrobatics, and more at the Multicultural Eid Festival & Fair.

About Ramadan

Ramadan is the most sacred month of the year in Islamic culture. The month of Ramadan is spent by Muslims fasting during the daylight hours from dawn to sunset. At the end of each day’s fast Muslims gather for Iftar, the evening meal to break their fast.

How to Get There

Ramadan Nights Lakemba takes place on Haldon Street and Railway Parade. Located in the heart of Greater Sydney it is easily accessible by public transport. Road closures will be in place, so we recommend taking public transport to visit us at Ramadan Nights. Lakemba Station will bring you directly to the heart of the event.

Sydney Royal Easter Show History

The inaugural  Show was held in 1823 and was run by the Royal Agricultural Society of NSW, a not-for-profit organisation that promotes and rewards agricultural excellence. The funds raised from the Show allows the RAS to continue investing in agricultural programs and supporting rural communities across Australia.
