King Street Heritage Festival
The Step Back into King Street Heritage Festival celebrates the historical street located in the town of Raymond Terrace in New South Wales.
The day starts at 10 am with a parade down King Street. Dignitaries will be escorted by red coats and the event will be opened with cannon fire. The William the fourth is making its inaugural voyage up the river from Newcastle for the first time since it was launched in Raymond Terrace for the 1988 Bicentennial. Tickets are on sale available from the William the fourth website for three short cruises throughout the day. Leaving at 8.30 am, 11 am and 1 pm respectively with the 11 am cruise fully booked out the cruise lasts for an hour and a half. Book the 8.30 cruise and be part of the opening ceremony. Tickets are selling fast.
Throughout the day there will be performances from the Irrawang High School Drum core, Hunter Performing Arts Marching Band, Voyage of Irish Dance, Maitland Pipes, and Drums and Dance Xtreme to name a few. At Midday, there will be a mock wedding held under the Marriage trees. With market stalls, free games, competitions, Bush poetry, and a great atmosphere there is something to appeal to everyone.
